Video conference remote Human Hand shake idea 2014
After being heavily involved with
the concept and design of video conference in my company the one thing I
realize is missing when everyone talks about real life experience of video is
that a physical hand shake between two people is missing.
Concept. A black box (usb or eth) would contain a hand
(silicon/rubber type). The idea would be using sensors placed on the hand maybe
up to 32 or 64 would respond to the feeling to the receiver and simulate the
feeling back. The sensors would be 8bit analog to represent 255 different
feeling/pressures. The concept and idea I think is not difficult in fact easy,
but the challenge would be how to actually make the receive hand feel like the
sender. The sender would use I imagine a pressure sensor, but the receive would
have to replicate this pressure. Still I would be nice to build a prototype
just to show the communication even through the feeling for the human would be
far from a real hand shake. Raspberry pi or such credit card computer with a
analog IO interface would be the brains. I did have one thought for the hand
using compressed air to increase decrease pressure sensation but not sure.
2016/7 Arp Odyssey control Panel midi interface
Plan to build an A3 size panel with
sliders and switches hooked up to a midi control kit, to control Arp VST
softsynth. I created the template in Visio and will use a Doepfer USB64 for the controller circuit
